Competitive works are evaluated by recognized pastel artists from all over the world (Europe, Asia, Australia, South and North America, North Africa and the Middle East).

Evaluation Criteria:

a) Originality of the creative idea;
b) Compositional integrity, color and tonal solution;
c) Technical and performing skills;
Please note: The quality of the submitted images will also play a role in the judging process.

The author may submit to the competition any number of works, including series - up to 3 sheets, in one or more nominations. Each work is evaluated as an independent work, with its own rating. A series is evaluated as one piece (diptych, triptych).

Expert Council / Jury

The professional composition of the Expert Council includes: leaders of international communities of pasthelist artists, famous and successful pasthelist artists, winners of competitions, as well as art historians, gallerists and curators.

The work of the Expert Council (jury) includes the evaluation of works submitted to the competition on a 10-point system. The scores are summed and the average arithmetic score is determined. See "General Jury List".
